After reading through Peter's excellent information I find I am second guessing myself. So in the spirit of better understanding I have provided an image to go with my questions.

In the image below I have illustrated the locking lugs, Lug 1 locks up very well. My problem is number 2 I do not believe I am getting a solid lock. It looks like perhaps 15 to 20% max. I doubt this would be correctable on this body, but I have no problem replacing with "new" one from Marstar.

To check I thin film of grease and checked for transfer. The bolt body is used and good in all other respects. I do not know if I need lock on the forward portion of number 2, I would not think so.
