Last week I made a trip to Sierra Bullets and came home with 20 lbs of 180gr .311 STP and 155gr .308 BTHP bullets. They were out of the 174 BTHP at that time. Loaded up several test lots with AA- 2520, Benchmark, Varget and H-4895 in 303. It stopped raining yesterday and I managed to get to the range for the first time this year. Took all my Enfields and fired 140 round through them testing all the load combinations. I discovered that 40gr of Varget with the Sierra 180gr SBT was the best combination and it worked very well in all my 303s. I was hoping to find one load the would shoot well in both my No 4 and No 5 and it looks like I have. Now I just need to get busy at the loading bench and get back to the range.
