    To change barrels or not.

I have a Winchester M1icon that has a worn out barrel. All parts are Winchester. The stock has been sanded(I believe because of water damage not arsenal rebuild)
Should I buy a Winchester barrel with a chromed gas port to improve the value or keep the original, worn out barrel? Thanks in advance.
