Hello all.

I have just got my hands on a very nice WWII mauser.

The mauser looks like a standard K98, but it has NO stamps from nazi Germanyicon.
Only the old imperial eagle.
The stock is just like a K98, but more well made, lighter. The hole gun is more well made than those I have seen.
The receiver is stamped with S/24G.
Serial number is 2509. On side of the action it is stamped with MOD.98.
Under the rear sight and the floor plate it is stamped with K 167.
The stock has the same number as the rifle. On the pistol grip it is stamped with the number 3.
Why?

Is it a early K98 production?
I have dated it, not sure if it is right to 1935.

Any information on the rifle will be good.
Will take some photos later and post, and also do a day at the range. The barrels are just as new
