I made it out today to the indoor range with my new Garand and had absolutely no issues with operation at all. I started out with 10 up and 0 windage before settling on 11 up and 2 clicks left. Although I was using a rest, I was unable to sit (only one chair there and in use already) I had to stand and bend at an uncomfortable position and I think my sight picture and cheek weld were a bit off (maybe high) and not all that steady. I did manage to fire four clips with these results which all in all is not too bad but I think it could be better with a more solid sitting position so I'll try again later. For now though I'm satisfied since I only shoot just to plink and have some fun. These were all on a 8 inch shoot 'n see at 25 yds. using PPU 150 grain fmj.
One question...do folks recommend setting the elevation drum to 200 now to give me a rough battle zero, or do more folks just leave it alone and remember their starting zero?(I did write mine down)Information
