    WWI Sniper1903 Springfield ?

I ran across this barreled action on Gunbroker--

US Springfield M1903 30-06 24" Barrelled Action : Bolt Action Rifles at GunBroker.com

Could it be a legit sniper? The holes look close to the Warner Swasey rail spacing. Is the serial range correct? Salt flat

I took another look at the mounting holes and it you can definately see a pattern where the feet of the Warner Swasey scope were! Salt Flat
