At an auction there was a .58 cal rifle that nobody would bid on. Also there was a reserve.

I was going to test the water by bidding but I did not know what it was. I recognized the snider conversion and also the stock looked familiar like my Parker Hale Enfield. I never put the two things together!

No markings at all on the rifle and the auction had it listed as a trap door rifle!

Had bad did I do through my ignorance about that rifle? I may still have a chance at it if I call the auction house.

The rifle was pretty clean, action worked, but barrel had most of the rifling gone. Ram rod in place.
