What is the significance of the H on the bridge in back of the slide well?
I have an unmodified type 1 stock without and sling well stamps or stampings on the right side or pistol grip of the stock, it also has the H in the same position. Possibly Hillerich and Bradsby [makers of carbine stocks and Louisville slugger bats]? It also has a diagonal checkered buttplate with the imprint of the buttplate pressed into the wood and a type-2 Inland recoil plate. I have been trying to find out who made it and for whom, so far, no luck.
