Savage 12 VSS, Over hauled

I just finished overhauling my Savage chuck gun. Its a 12 VSS in .223 Rem match. When I checked the headspace it was 0.007" over go and the crown was dinged, which may explain the keyholes at 100 yards. I crowned the barrel to 11 degrees, Lapped the bore, indicated the chamber end of the gun and to was out 0,002 so I trued it up to dead nuts then re polished the business points and set the head space to 0.002" over go . I de-burred everything, soup to nuts. I used a set of home made rings and a Barska tac scope and cleaned the trigger up to 1.5 lbs, very clean break. The stock already had an aluminum bedding system so I left it be other than a riser under the cheek piece. At first I was going to build my own chuck gun for the year until I saw a fellow gunsmith at the range shooting in a few 12 VSS model guns for a local PD. I could not believe the groups he was getting, Sp I figured I would give it a try. I found mine at a local show at a very discounted price (wouldn't shoot straight), hum, I can do that so I did. I can't wait to get it out and test drive it-SDH
