Got one of the commercially sold versions of the current USMC pistol. PCD coated rather than Duracoat variant which came first. First range trip just to see how it did fresh out of the box. For comparison, also brought out a1916 vintage commercial Government Model that somehow escaped being sent to Russiaicon.

The M45A1 sports a dust shroud rail for light/laser attachment, an enhanced grip safety, well executed Novak tritium night sights, ambidextrous safety, a recontoured trigger guard, a slightly beveled mag well opening, reconfigured grasping grooves in the slide, Series 80 drop safety bits, etc.

But do it shoot?

First rounds:

20rds @ 25yds. offhand

Not the best ammo, just basic 230 FMJ.
