My target rifle project is now complete.Following the purchase of the AG Parker No9 match sight; I acquired the correct mounting plate from a dealer in the UKand some longer screws from the USA
.
Fitting was easy and the sight alignment appears spot on. I used a laser to check basic alignment of the original sights and the dioptre; setting them both at 200 then 1000 yards to check they remain straight.

I tested the rifle with 5 rounds and compared to 5 from my L39. (50 metre range )
I am very happy with the result. The rifle has standard bedding but needed a lot of care to get it shooting well.
I will be using it for the modified service rifle class next year.
The rifle is a 1929 BSA.Information
