Found one of my grail rifles.

Interesting late manufacture Fazakerley No5 MK 1 made in March of 1947. Judging by the markings, this is a pre-68 import. All parts match, including magazine (if only I had a matching bayonet). Metal is in good condition, minus a little paint. The wood is in fair condition, with some oil rot and a lot of darkening. I plan on restoring the wood. I think it is salvageable. I am curious as to the meaning of the stock paint. I've never seen another like it. If it is significant, I will forgo the stock restoration. No idea on how it shoots. I have some 1945 Radway Green MK7 that I plan on trying in it shortly.

Please pardon the M44. She snuck in.
