M1 Carbine Bayonet

I've got this bayonet which was sold to me as a conversion by a Country other than the U.S.A. in order for it to fit the M1 Carbine. I have tried it on my U.K. deactivated M1 Carbine and it does fit and I think that the vendor may have mentioned that he thought that Norway may have done the conversion. That is about all I know about it and I was wondering if Forum Members could help me out by advising me on it, please. What it was originally, if a conversion, who may have done the conversion work if that is what it is and when this work may have been done. Many thanks for any help.
