Due to several posts regarding headspacing, I have gone thru my carbines and checked them out. Some were a little tight, but the bolt would fully close with slight pressure on the go guage. Others were a little loose, but the bolt would not fully close on the no go guage. On one however, the bolt fully closed on the no go guage with no interference at all. I then tried two other bolts with the same result, one of which appears to be new. The carbine is a 9-43 I.B.M. with a replacement 4-44 Indland barrel with a muzzle guage of 1 1/2. The barrel appears to be correctly indexed. It is not a CMPcarbine. Is there anything that can be done to correct this problem? Fortunately I have never fired this weapon! Thanks for any imput.
