It's a common late commercial well AFTER the war, probably early 1949. Lyman restarted 1946 post-war commercial serials around 5600 where they left off in 1943 and ran all the way to the 50,000 range by about 1950, duplicating all the military serials along the way. This one just happened to fall near where the military M81s were numbered. Hunting scope 30564 was purchased new in November 1948. Don't know how the domed caps got on there, they were very early military, but you can't date a scope by the caps, they got switched all the time.
