Enjoyed reading the new issue, of special interest to me, are the articles about the 2.7 million serial numbered rifles. Back in May of 1993, I had a dealer friend call me from a remote town in Wisconsin. He had just bought a small group of 22 rimfires and a shoAttachment 80031Attachment 80032Attachment 80033Attachment 80034tgun from a veteran's estate sale and there was an M1rifle but showed a lot of service and there was no interest. I told him to buy it for me which he did. The rifle is s/n 2770090 with a 1SA 4 44 dated barrel (4.5 TE but nice clean bore). This rifle is original but has been used.
