I would give it a try and remove the elevation dialer with the engraving up to 200 .. I had seen original ones placed upside down and having a new engraving. Probably the original military engraving is still present on the other side.

Edit: Roger, Austrian M.95 scope rings were not only soldered, but also always with a pin secured in place too.
