    Bezard Compass (pic heavy)

I got this a while ago for a reasonable price and the English instructions are rather limited the other set appears to go into detail but as I do not speak that tongue doesn't help me understand the compass.
It appears to be pretty well made & unused has the fold up ruler with a directional arrow on the angle cover which apparently you can map gradients etc and do over the hill distance calculations don't know about that one beyond my mathematical expertise.
Just a thought and those with experience what approximate build date is this one as I cannot seem to get an accurate fix on its age. What are they worth new if some of our European personnel have an idea. TIA
