Well, I decided to pass on the Arisakaicon's that was at the store with what infor I have researched. But I do have another question:

I was looking at some auction sites and I saw an Arisaka Type 99 that was up. From what I was able to learn, was that the serial numbers seemed to match, minus the bolt, but i don't think that is surprising. The mum has an "X" through it, but it's left the mum relatively in tact. the man selling it has said that there has been no restoration work on it and that hte rifling is strong and bore is bright.

Since people here have more knowledge on the subject that I do, anyone think i should try and get this one?
