Siamese Mauser 98 - Japanese produced

I just picked up a Siamese Mauser 98 (8x52R) complete with bayonet, good + condition. I now want to register it as the old fellow I got it from has had it for at least 30 years and maybe even longer etc. Can anyone here direct me to a site or provide a translation of the numerals? I'm not sure but I think the maker is Mukden, three circles covered by a single circle. I tried to figure it out from the symbols on the rear sight, but none seem to match the five symbols on the rear receiver bridge. Any help would be greatly appreciated. bearhunter
