When I was at Warminster the NZ Army liaison Officer invited a group of us to be guests at the High Commission while the NZ Army did the Sovereigns Guard. They did look impressive in the re-issued lemon squeezer hats. They'd been withdrawn in NZ just before I went there for the first time in '67. The Malay Army followed them, bringing their band with them as well. Once again, all the drills were identical to ours and the drill orders were given in..........., you've guessed it........ English!
