    Could be someone's attempt to desporterize.
    If no serials present on wood, and as Peter stated, poorly fit, someone slapped some replacement wood on a barreled action they found perhaps. (I am currently in the same process).

    Unless the rifle is a ludicrous price, it looks pretty good!

    The scope could very well be original to the rifle and the serial is missing from wood in the desporter or rebuild process.

    I'd just be happy it's a legit T with proper bracket and legit mk3 scope. Those 3 items are the most important.

    Does the bolt serial match?
