C3 Sniper Build

Well, it has been almost a year since I said I would post a build thread for my C3 rifle build.

Life has kinda got in the way, but this summer I got down to business.

I started with a PH 1100 donor rifle, turned a 1:10 barrel blank into a 26" heavy C3/M82 contour, added a new stock and ended up with this.













The following things still need to be done.

1. make an aluminum bushing for my barrel vise and torque down the barrel.
2. glass bed the stock
3. install scope bases
4. drill, tap and install the front sight base (photo above is a mock-up)
5. mount scope
6. reparkerize the receiver as I don't like how it turned out
7. make target rail for under the stock
8. install sling swivels in stock
9. mount hand stop
10. buy PH bipod spigot/handstop for my PH bipod
11. make facsimile of issue sling

The photo of the muzzle is misrepresentative of what it actually looks like. i had to use the camera flash and it washed-out the dark manganese parkerized colour.
