Good afternoon all,

New to the forums and my first post as to potentially ascertaining what rifle I am dealing with and if its a legitimate sniper rifle.

I've currently got it in at a gun shop being looked at and appraised for serviceability whilst we find out what it is.

The barrel appears to be almost unused rifling and bore diameter wise but sadly its been stored incorrectly and is likely in need of replacing if it was ever to be fired due to one decently pitted area.

There is no scope with it.
It comes as seen in the pictures.
Its being sold to me as "un able to confirm" its originality as the owner is being very upfront and honest about it as he genuinely doesn't know.
Under the rear hand guard it has "E" or "EAD" I cannot recall as I forgot to take a picture but it apparently relates to "enfield" I was informed so looks to be matching the rest of the stock.

The serial number does appear to come up in Ian skennertons book.
Any help is greatly appreciated guys.

Regards
Jared
