Tradeex recently had 20 or so very nice M1icon Garands that sold very fast for $2195 (Canadianicon) a pop.
Many had WWII actions with WWII barrels rated as very good. Some had painted rack numbers and the stocks looked very good.
I was able to buy one from the same lot from a different dealer.
It's a July 1944 receiver with a June 1944 barrel. The barrel is excellent. All parts are SA except for the HR op rod. The stock has the circle P and a DOD acceptance stamp only. Obviously been overhauled at some point. It appears to have been cleaned more than fired as there is no wear to the Parkerizing on the receiver and other parts. A small "27" is stamped on the stock underneath the P. I assume its a rack number of some sort.
I would love to know where it came from. I have read there were some rifles from Turkeyicon coming back but wouldn't these need to go through the CMPicon first?
One of these rifles at Tradeex had a CMP replacement stock.
