Hi Guys
After a considerable time struggling through a broken Firearms Certification process here in Northern Ireland in which I had to enlist the help of my local MP to get the system moving my Lee Enfield N9 .22 trainer has arrived.
I am quite happy with it but sadly someone has removed the N9 pattern sight and replaced it with a normal .303 unit. They then drilled and tapped the aperture so that they could fit a fixed PH aperture. Pity. Fortunately my 8/53 sight still fits. I do have a No8 rear sight unit but I wonder what are the chances of finding a proper N9 sight????
I haven't had it on the range yet but I have a couple of queries. First of all the serial number on the side does not match the number on the top (the bolt does match) and secondly what is going on with the N/I\Z marking and numbers on the base of the magazine case.
