I read an interesting article in the January issue of American Rifleman on p. 80 by Philip Schreier.

It values an Eddystone SN 596131 NRA Very Good Condition (80% original finish, all original parts), manufactured in 1918 at $800.

The article states that as recent as 10 years ago prices were quite modest. Now M17s in decent condition (50% to 75%) bring $350 to $600, depending on manufacturer (W bring the most; E bring the least).

He states that high-polish blue guns with matching barrels and receivers can bring close to $2500.

The article may interest other M17 owners.

Oh yes, the great debate concerning Alvin York's rifle.......the author made an interesting comment a betting man would appreciate.
