    US Model of 1917 lend leased to Canada in WWII.

    This rifle has an interesting history as the forestock has a red painted band indicating the rifle is in non-standard caliber, .30-06. The buttstock flat is marked broad arrow RCAF indicating issue to the Royal Canadianicon Air Force. The numbers painted on the stock may indicate additional use by India.
