I recommend this one;
The Battle For Chosin ~ some very stark reality checks for MacArthur and his plan which manifested itself in the US Marines coping a real pasting 15,000 V's 60,000.
The 2 star in charge of the troops there was asked why were they retreating he stated back that as they were surrounded they were advancing to the rear.
Some of the interviews with the survivors were revealing in the extremis of what they endured I think that for some the battle was only yesterday given their reactions.
I think once touched by the finger of war it never leaves one alone, especially one story about the grenaded Chinese soldier in a pillbox hideously wounded & dying that the marine in his words "Dispatched" out of kindness.
All he wanted to know all these years later was he wished he could have understood what the wounded soldier was saying to him he was traumatized even telling the interviewer in the doco.
I seriously recommend this doco.Information
