I've been wanting a Mills bomb for my displays for some time now but not willing to pay what people are asking for one and replicas seen to be out of stock everywhere except in the UKicon which refuses to export due to their laws..

Today I found a mills bomb for $60 It is not one of the nice ones however. It is a solid cast grenade with no movable parts and is missing the spoon. No markings at all. metal is non-metalic so I'm thinking zinc or pot metal.

The casting is somewhat crude, misalligned and has excess metal at the seam.

I've spent a lot of time on the net trying to locate a similar example with zero success. If this is a legit training grenade I don't have a problem with that price. But a replica not so much.

Anyone have any opinions on what it is. I'm pretty strongly leaning toward replica due to the crudeness and being solid. No examples I found were either.
