The Fall issue of the Garand Collectors Journal that is hitting member mailboxes this week has a feature article on the 1941 Marine sniper rifle. Yes, it's outside our area of expertise, but it is based on documents newly discovered in the National Archives and presents new information that challenges accepted wisdom. It was written by a GCA member who has done excellent research on the M1 and written several terrific articles, so we decided to publish it. I'm sure it will generate some passionate discussion.
