Went to a small gun show today in Mt. Vernon WA. Sparsely attended, probably because was scheduled same day as a big show just outside Seattle.

Picked up two No4MkI rifles, first was a 1942 dated Savage US Property marked No4MkI*. No mag and foreend had been bobbed off by bubba, but the bolt matched, the barrel superb, and the price was right at 70 dollars.

Next one is a nice Long Branch, can`t remember year, but all military, matching, with excellent bore. I believe this one is a post-war Canadianicon refurb, evidenced by the finish, but still has a BNP proof. Got it for 175 dollars. I never pass up a Long Branch or Savage rifle if decent and price is right.
