Hey Guys,

Just want to show off a rifle I picked up a couple months ago. I normally don't get lucky on stuff like this, but I did this time.

I got this thing for a princely $466--and they sell at auction for around $1600. It's a Czechicon VZ33 with a Germanicon G33/40 bolt in it--the perfect combo. VZ33's are much more rare than G33/40's, with only 25,000 ever made. However, the G33/40 bolt would suggest this rifle was captured by the Germans and used alongside G33/40's in service.

I trade around a lot of milsurp rifles, but I don't think I'll ever get rid of this one. I don't think I'll ever find another one!

Some cool aspects of these rifles:
- Winged front sight
- Elevation graduated down to 50 meters, and in 50 meter increments (this one hits on the money)
- Hollow Bolt Handle
- Lightening cuts in action
- Butt trap
- 19.5" barrel

I've had 11 or 12 Mausers, and this one is by far my favorite.

The only issue with the rifle is, that for some reason the 3rd safety notch doesn't lock the bolt handle. But I think I can put up with it since the safety still works otherwise.

Anybody else have one of these?
