I remember Milsurps fellow member BobK having a very nice collection of these with most having the wood stocks.
Anyone ever remember seeing one with a Oak (possibly Ash) stock?
Take a look it sure looks like Oak or....... maybe Ash to me.
I've never seen one stocked like this......
I've been watching it when it was being offered for a open bid of $199.00.
Almost bit but had some pricey truck repairs lately.
Then after ending with no bites I see the new open bid has gone up to $209.99 Plus an extra $10 shipping to now total $30.
Maybe increasing in value @ $10.00 a week .....

A search came up with a stock that looks to also be Oak on the NRA Museum page. It also talks about during WWII the (OSS) Office of Strategic Services purchased 2,000 compressed air guns for unspecified purposes, quite possibly for covert use by O.S.S. agents.
