    US WWII Memorials in France

On Saturday we stopped a a memorial for the crew of a US B26 Marauder, of the 394 Bomb Group; which was brought down by Flak on the 14/06/1944.
The memorial lies on the road to Orleans, just outside the village of Saint Peravy La Colombe.

The memorial was constructed when in 1970 a local farmer had uncovered the propellor blade that had remained buried in his field since the crash. He offered it to the village and they have built a very fine memorial to remember the crew.
