It comes from a warehouse in russia, so maybe a leftover of the lend/lease-program.

Where did you get THAT information, did you go there and pick it up yourself? Sounds like the claim that "It's been in this collection for 50 years"...

I think it's a copy, I can show you my Savage front grip for comparison, there are no sharp corners...yes, mine has been around but there's no similarity except the shape.
