    ISO: M1 Carbine SN 4262636

Hello, as the title states I’m looking for a very specific Carbine. It was my grandfathers, who passed it to his son upon death, who sold it to make a quick buck back in the mid 90’s (I was born in 90). From what I can tell, it should be a National Postal Meter?

This is just coming from my mother giving me a shoebox of my grandfathers things, in which was the original receipt and military shipping form 1149 from when he bought the rifle in 1967. I would be willing to pay slightly above retail to bring it home if the owner was open to selling it. I originally posted this on Reddit, and am waiting for my CMPicon account to get approved so I can post it there as well. Any shares, tips, or help is appreciated!
