I wish I was in Tennessee right now, Calif is doomed. My late Father in law Dr. Joseph Baldwin was born and raised in Paris, Tenn. Distant relative of Bland Ballard. Lived to be 99 and 8 months, still sharp as a tack.
Probably genetic and the food. My Grandmother was from Tazewell City Virginia, Grandfather on that side from Guthrie County W.V. Plenty of greens, beans and cornbread, incinerated thin pork chops on Sunday. Grandfather was 120lbs ringing wet, one of the meanest men that ever lived. All of them lived well into their 90s. He joined the Army in Missouri for the Philippine Insurrection. Basic training was having to walk from there to Washington State. More guys died on the 6 week boat ride to the PI than in the war.
