Yesterday (Friday april 2nd, 2021) i finally been able to 'pull the trigger' and buy myself a legit K-50M.
This example is in beautiful condition, and is very well made actually!
Numbered 5188, and from Vietnamese sources i heard that this corrosponds with the exact gun number (so 5188th K-50M assembled).
This S/N puts this gun at either 1964 or early 1965.

other notable features include an original Type-56 sling, and the front slingswivel has been replaced with a replacement made from a nail and some iron wire

Sadly however, as a european, this example is deactivated.
but luckily, it was deactivated in the UKicon which means the bolt, trigger and magazine are all still moveable

now, down to the real reason as to why i make this post.
i am in a bit of a pickle here.
I have a seperate set of civilian made Type-56-1 woodset (AKMS wood) and i want it colored to look like the wood on my K-50M.
however, the K-50M has an AK pistol grip, and on the Type-56's the grip screws into a loose piece in the receiver.
this K-50M receiver cannot be opened due to deactivation laws and if this is a loose piece, i won't be able to put it back together.
so here is my question:

Does anyone know exactly what the screw of the pistol grip on a K-50M screws into?
if it's a loose piece, i won't be able to unscrew it. If it just screws into a solid block of metal or something along those lines, then i will.
i want to remove it so the woodworker can in person see what the wood set needs to look like.

the fact these are so scarce really doesn't help the situation, there is no information on this to be found anywhere whatsoever!
