The Military Aviation Museum in Virginia Beach, VA is having its fly-in on the weekend of the 19th-20th. They've got twenty WWII fighters, six WWII bombers, twelve WWII trainers, three WWII liaison planes, fourteen WWI planes, two of which are over 100 years old and the rest are reconstructions, and three pre-WWI reconstructions. Virtually everything flies.
They've also relocated a WWII hangar from Cottbus, Germany, that was used from 1941-1944 by the Focke-Wulf Company for storage and a base for test flights while manufacturing the Fw200 Condor and Fw190 fighter plane. Near the end of World War Two, the Ta152 aircraft was assembled there. They've also relocated the WWII control tower from the first USAAF base in Englands at Goxhill, England
, to their field.
There will be other planes flying in as well.
