I would have described it, post 5, simply as a "Dodge Weapons Carrier" and according to google the post war version is very similar.

Yep, Dodge Weapons Carrier is what they are generically referred to as.
Ironically, in Sept 1996, a mere 2 months after my uncle that is in the photo passed away, I spent 3 days driving a mates Dodge Weapons Carrier, affectionally name 'Alice', around northern France....
