Speaking of Thanks

I would like to thank RCS for posing the original question of what was the serial number of Champlins Rifle, Bob Seijas and the GCA for printing the story, and finally Tom Vinson and Bill Champlin for their support and background on their father and the rifle. It was an enjoyable project.

With covid and all the fuss, people make about masks, quarantine and how rough it is - I like to reflect on the story of how Champlain while on Battan had to spend a night and a day in a fox hole/ bomb crater with dead bodies. Thanks to him and his generation the roughest of life we see is masks and quarantine.
