1907 Lithgow but doesn't fit SMLE?

In my ongoing search for an Australian WW1 era 1907 I thought I had found one to suit me for the time being. This was sold to me as a 1917 1907 3MD. Upon arrival I found that it won't fit my SMLE and then noticed the mortise (I believe it is called) is the same width but not as long so it blocks the connection to the rifle. The muzzle ring is the correct size. When I took some photos I'm not even sure it reads 1907 but the mark is worn. I've included some pictures of all the markings I could find. There is a is a comparison picture with a correct size (the right one being this bayonet). If you could help me identify what I got this time I'd appreciate it.
