Bren Carriers in German servie; Redux.

Some time back there was a thread, somewhere, on this subject and i remember posting that I had read somewhere, that the Germans had used captured carriers as "scaled-uo" Goliaths, but could not find a reference.

In the process of re-shelving a swag of stuff today, I found something.

Bellonna Publications, A summary of the Self-propelled Weapons of teh Germanicon Army 1939-45. Published 1968-70.

The last page before the glossary, covers recycled Bren Carriers, including the Leichte Feld Ladungstraeger 'Bren"" (e). Attributed with an introduction date of 1942.

    Description:

"Remote-controlled explosives carrier The original superstructure was removed and a new structure for control gear and charge built on".

Obviously, if a vehicle were deployed successfully, any evidence would be widely distributed.
