Buttplate ID ??

Thanks Jon, but I think Charlie is saying it's the same as the late NPM shown lower down that page. I came inside from what I was doing earlier, read his reply and just spent the last couple hours trying to get pics of (3) NPM buttplates I have. Looks like I had another one that was on a Carbine I sold several years ago. They all appear to be the early type - don't think I ever paid any attention to the later one, but it still doesn't look as "square" as the picture I found, or even the one Jim M shows at the top of his ID page. Here's the picture of the one I saw recently on GB rotated so it should be easier on everyone's neck, followed by (2) that I have on stocks and a reparked one from my parts box. Maybe it's just the angle of the pictures that make those others look so square in the center?? - Bob
