I’ve had this SwedishMauser for nearly 30 years. Back when my eyes were good and young, I could squeeze 3/4 inch groups out of it with my good hand loads. Nowadays, I am lucky if I can get 1.5 inch groups with the same load. But I suppose it’s still pretty good with a rifle made in 1908 and iron sites. To try and give my tired eyes a little help I installed a scout scope mount on the rear sight base. Then I found a vortex crossfire two scout scope on eBay for a good price and put it on there. I went out on my deck and shot at 92 yards to zero the scope and see what it would do with some of the fine Swedish M 41 military surplus ammo. After doing a visual boresighting down the barrel at my target and adjusting the scope, it only took a couple of rounds to bring my sights down to my desired point of aim. Then I shot several three round groups with surprising results. I’d say this all raffle still has some life left in her still.
