Won @ Auction: Gew 98 Receiver, New Barrel, and other Unknown Mauser Bolt Parts

I won at auction a GEWicon 98 Receiver, Mauser bolt body with extractor, a used unknown make Firing Mechanism assembly, and a New unmarked unknown caliber barrel. The auction house said that these came from acquired from the estate of a Northern California custom Riflesmith, but that's neither here nor there. (I put the trigger assembly on just because it was sitting in my drawer; it did not come in the auction)

Won the auction at $82.00 plus shipping and tax, so $138.94 out of the auction house.

The bolt body with the extractor seems to mate with the receiver, and the unmarked barrel screws right in. I haven't cast the barrel chamber yet, but it looks like its cut for 7mm Mauser but dropping a commercial and military surplus cartridge in it. I'll most likely sell the barrel one I'm sure what it is and have a barrel in 270 Win made for it.

I'm not sure what's up with the Firing Mechanism assembly other than it being well-used and mucked with. if you look at the picture, even with the spring compressed all the way down (yes, when I compressed it, it locked in that position), you can't turn off the Cocking Piece. Looks like the firing pin was broken at one time and brazed back together as well. I'm not sure what I'm going to do with this other than stick in my Bin-O-Stuff.

I will need to find a firing mechanism, trigger guard assm., and bolt stop to complete this receiver.
