As to the trigger, it should be phosphate as Ithaca never used blued triggers on phosphate finished pistols. The trigger is a much lighter color, but if we are to believe that parts lay around for a year or more before they were used, the trigger wouldn't necessarily match.
Some of the markings on the pistol are hard to see from the light bouncing off the oil on the pistol, so hard to make a call there.
Hey I learned something I didn't know that about the trigger. I thought all were blued. huh.... Who would have know. lol Johnny you always teach something new everyday! Seriously I'm not joking on this at all, you should write a book. Clawson is no longer in print, and way overpriced now, so we could use a Pepper's Guide to 1911 Military Collecting.

On Andy's Ithaca, I think he just got it, and if the seller is any kind of seller he should have a three day no fire inspection. If it were me, I would return it for a refund, just to be safe. Andy paid top dollar for it, way to much to take a chance on it being refinished. Do you guys agree as well? Man I just hate to see him spend that much money on it with the possibility of it being reparked.
