    U.S. Springfield Armory Model 1899 Krag Carbine, Serial 350,XXX.
    Caliber 30 U.S. kak. 30-40 Krag
    Condition nearly excellent...no cartouche.
    No rust pitting etc.. Normal wear and dings for a 100 year gun.
    Bore is good. Have shot it occasionally.

    This might be an excellent buying value if you're a collector of U.S. pieces. If authentic, it would sell for a LOT more in the U.S. For whatever reason, they don't seem to be as popular with collectors up here in Canadaicon.

    I've asked the seller to provide the serial number to help validate authenticity from Brophy's book. The one in the Milsurp Knowledge Library is serial # 341336 and was manufactured by Springfield in 1901.

    Besides the "c" stamped on the sides of the sight and sight base, I also asked the sller if the rear sight has the "c" on top, as per the example from the one shown below in the Milsurp Knowledge Library ?
