Broken Plastic Oiler - How to Salvage

The plastic oilers often break at the threads that hold on the cap for the thong assembly. However sometimes you will find the oiler dip stick missing, or broken on the oiler end.

I never throw away those oilers. I cut them down and I use them to store headspace gages.

Furthermore if you look at the oiler on the left, it was missing the cap. Luckily the buttstock grease cap (Garand and M14icon) has the same threads and will interchange.
